Position Overview

NSB Recruitment Ltd is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Building Management Systems (BMS) Specialist to contribute significantly within a leading, data-driven consultancy focused on energy management and technical engineering solutions. This organization is recognized for its expertise in sustainability and achieving Net Zero goals, delivering impactful projects aimed at reducing energy costs and carbon footprints.

  • Location: M4 corridor & South East (remote work available, with necessary travel)
  • Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

The BMS Specialist role encompasses a comprehensive focus on BMS, Automation Controls, and Integrated Solutions. Your main duties will include the installation, enhancement, maintenance, and commissioning of BMS and related systems.

  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of BMS systems
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to improve system performance
  • Facilitate the integration of BMS with various control systems
  • Ensure effective communication and interoperability among different control platforms
  • Interface with MODbus, Mbus, and BACnet systems to third-party equipment, utilizing MQTT, JSON, and APIs through Webhooks
  • Conduct commissioning activities to verify the functionality and efficiency of installed BMS and Controls
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve integration challenges during commissioning
  • Assist in the maintenance and optimization of various BMS across multiple projects
  • Travel to different locations to supervise installation, integration, and commissioning tasks
  • Work closely with clients, project managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success
  • Engage with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively
  • Generate detailed maintenance and site survey reports
  • Support remote maintenance and fault diagnosis activities

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient understanding of proprietary control systems and BMS, including the ability to create graphical representations of installed solutions
  • Solid electrical knowledge and a strong grasp of mechanical and electrical systems, including fault diagnosis
  • Valid driving license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Ability to foster positive cross-functional relationships
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the UK and internationally as required

Compensation and Benefits

As a BMS Specialist, you will receive a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £58,000, along with a commission structure and a flexible benefits package that includes:
