Job Title: Engineering Trainer

About the Role:

The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Trainer to join our Training Team in Coventry. As an Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical training to learners, developing apprentices' skills, and ensuring their progress towards completing their apprenticeships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engineering subjects at various levels, including theoretical and practical training
  • Manage learning resources and spaces to ensure a conducive learning environment
  • Develop and implement learning content and schemes-of-work to meet industry standards
  • Monitor the learning environment to ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Support learners in completing their apprenticeships, providing guidance and feedback as needed

Person Specification:

  • High level of engineering knowledge and expertise
  • Experience in key engineering competencies, including manufacturing and production
  • Evidence of teaching methodologies knowledge and experience

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Industry-related qualifications such as Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree in a relevant field
  • Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English

Desirable Qualifications:

  • CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications
  • Recognized Training/Teaching Qualification
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable updating stakeholders and giving presentations
  • Highly articulate and presentable
  • Organized with attention to detail
