Job Summary
FIND | Creating Futures is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Trainer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering technical training in engineering subjects to small groups of learners, both face-to-face and online.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training courses, programs, and curriculum to meet the needs of our learners.
- Manage all physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure effective training and assessment within guided learning hours.
- Convey technical information in a clear and accessible manner, engaging with various stakeholders through presentations and updates.
- Develop new, interactive teaching methods that incorporate the latest industry standards, continually improving our technical training offerings.
Requirements
- A strong Engineering background with a minimum of 5 years industry experience, ideally from a Machining/Workshop environment.
- A confident speaker who is not phased by standing in front of a classroom/delivering presentations.
- Be customer and quality-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Work independently and as part of a team, managing tight deadlines effectively.
- Demonstrate a commitment to promoting the safety and wellbeing of learners.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry-related qualifications, such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
- CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications.
- Recognized training/teaching qualifications.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.
