About the Role
The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Trainer to join our team. As an Engineering Trainer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality technical training to apprentices and learners, helping them develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in engineering and manufacturing skills, aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Design and deliver training content, including lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations, to ensure learners meet the required standards.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to learners, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
- Collaborate with industry partners and stakeholders to ensure training programs meet the needs of the manufacturing industry.
- Monitor and evaluate learner progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, incorporating new knowledge and skills into training programs.
Requirements
- High level of engineering knowledge, preferably gained from several years of industrial experience.
- Experience in teaching methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Industry-related qualifications, such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
- Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with learners, industry partners, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and quality.
