About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Trainer to join our team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). As an Engineering Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and development programs in fluid power systems, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs in fluid power systems, including theoretical and practical aspects.
  • Manage and maintain physical learning resources and teaching spaces to ensure effective training and assessment of learners.
  • Provide regular constructive feedback to learners and record the impact of their own learning on a regular basis.
  • Support the delivery of topics that align with competencies of the individual, with a bias towards fluid power systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching and learning experiences.

Requirements

  • High level of engineering knowledge, preferably gained from several years of industrial experience.
  • Experience of best practice in key competencies of the individual, such as installing and maintaining fluid power/mechatronic systems.
  • Evidence of knowledge in teaching methodologies.
  • Industry-related qualifications such as L3 Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or Degree.
  • Functional Skills Level 2/GCSEs in Maths and English grade C or above.
