Your responsibilities:

The Risk and Assurance Consultant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organization. Key duties include:
  • Overseeing Health & Safety management on demolition projects
  • Conducting regular site inspections to ensure adherence to policies
  • Documenting inspection findings and recommending improvements
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to assess and manage risk profiles
  • Providing expert advice on health and safety matters
  • Managing time and responsibilities autonomously
  • Monitoring site performance and escalating concerns as necessary
  • Facilitating reviews following incidents to ensure thorough investigations
  • Communicating best practices and lessons learned
  • Engaging with operational teams during site visits
  • Driving business improvements related to risk management
  • Maintaining compliance with external accreditations
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders across the organization
  • Supporting the bidding process by identifying project-specific risks
  • Promoting safety practices and leading by example
  • Participating in various safety and operational meetings
  • Conducting 'Tool Box Talks' on-site
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Health & Safety within Demolition, Construction, or related fields
  • Relevant academic qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH General Certificate)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Motivated to foster a proactive safety culture
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of demolition processes
  • Awareness of asbestos regulations
