Location: Cannock, Staffordshire

Are you an experienced professional in Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental management looking to drive change?

We are in search of a proactive and results-driven SHEQ Manager to join a reputable engineering firm that specializes in sustainable product design and boasts a turnover exceeding £200 million.

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in advancing health, safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting a culture of safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Leading the creation and execution of comprehensive SHEQ systems.
  • Fostering continuous improvement and innovative practices.
  • Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards, including ISO 9001, FORS, RISQS, Achilles, and Ecovadis.
  • Implementing sustainability initiatives across the organization.
  • Managing a compliance team (1 direct report).
  • Maintaining ISO 9001:2015 compliant Quality Management Systems.
  • Preparing for and conducting annual audits.
  • Evaluating third-party suppliers and business partners.
  • Chairing HSQE & F Management Review meetings.
  • Overseeing risk assessments for all operational locations and field engineering teams.
  • Conducting site assessments and upholding health and safety procedures.
  • Managing hazardous waste documentation and processes.
  • Providing training on environmental protection protocols.

This position demands a strategic thinker with a solid history of managing and executing health, safety, quality, and environmental initiatives.

Key qualifications include:

  • Tech IOSH / Grad IOSH or CMIOSH certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in SHEQ management, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or technical sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

This role requires onsite presence for 1-2 days weekly, with travel to additional sites as necessary.
