Your Responsibilities

In the role of Application Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the effective operation and optimization of a multifaceted technology environment, concentrating on both modern and legacy applications. Your duties will encompass maintaining and improving the performance of systems like System 21, facilitating service enhancements, and supporting the integration of financial and operational systems. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to resolve system challenges, ensuring business continuity and operational efficiency.

Key Duties Include:

  • Regularly oversee system operations to ensure software integrity, user accessibility, and optimal performance.
  • Perform security and performance monitoring, swiftly addressing alerts to mitigate potential issues.
  • Engage in incident resolution, conducting root cause analyses for prompt, low-impact solutions.
  • Ensure timely responses to support inquiries, upholding high service standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the consolidation of financial systems and improve application utilization across various sites.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at service enhancement, focusing on problem management and service transitions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

As an Application Support Engineer, you will excel in a collaborative and dynamic setting, utilizing your experience with both modern and legacy ERP systems, particularly System 21, Great Plains, or Navision. You will play a crucial role in promoting efficient workflows within an FMCG environment, with an emphasis on financial and IT processes.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in deploying or assisting with systems related to financial operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to understand business workflows, tackle technical challenges, and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Proficiency in iSeries operations, especially within an ERP context.
  • Skills in server management, including SQL database oversight and data analysis through SQL queries.
  • A robust background in service improvement and problem management, focusing on minimizing disruptions and enhancing system performance.
