Working Hours: 40 hours per week

As a result of an expanding client base and service offerings, we are looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to operate on various water company sites across Central and Northern England.


This role is ideal for experienced Field Service Engineers seeking new opportunities in project-based work for UK water companies and industrial clients, including installations and asset upgrades.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of mechanical engineers and fitters, typically comprising two or more engineers across multiple sites
  • Execute intricate asset overhauls and replacements
  • Perform advanced mechanical repairs and modifications on dewatering systems, pumps, piping, valves, and related equipment
  • Adhere to CDM regulations during project execution
  • Oversee daily on-site operations of employees and subcontractors
  • Provide standby support and be available for overtime, including travel away from home as needed
  • Complete testing reports, installation certifications, and customer feedback documentation
  • Collaborate with on-site customer teams and subcontractors
  • Manage the maintenance and repair of dewatering systems and ancillary equipment at sewage and clean water treatment facilities


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an industrial setting
  • Proven track record in leading mechanical installation, maintenance, or service projects
  • Experience in asset replacement and maintenance of equipment typically found in water and sewage treatment facilities
  • NVQ or recognized apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 3
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Confined Space Training
  • Clean Water Qualification
  • SHEA Water Qualification
  • CSCS Gold Card
