Job Title: Commercial Manager (Change Lead)

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager (Change Lead) to join our team at People Group Limited. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a crucial role in managing and leading the Commercial Management Change process for our HS2 Old Oak Common project.

About the Role:

The Commercial Manager (Change Lead) will be responsible for managing and leading the Commercial Management Change process, working closely with the Technical and Construction Delivery teams. You will hold key responsibilities associated with the commercial and financial success of the project, ensuring that all Change, value engineering, and optioneering related opportunities are maximised and secured.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer NEC3 Option C contracts
  • Develop and manage commercial reports associated with change management
  • Establish and manage entitlement, with a focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the Subcontract
  • Develop and price Measurement and Compensation Event Quotations
  • Assess change impacts against the program
  • Develop and manage project Change metrics and dashboards
  • Liaise and negotiate with the Customer's Commercial and/or project team
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Advise and assist the Commercial, Technical, and Construction Delivery teams with commercial procedures and reporting
  • Manage and lead Change Management meetings
  • Manage and lead Risk Reduction meetings
  • Investigate and draft contract communications and notices
  • Provide contractual and commercial risk advice
Requirements:
  • Chartered Member or Fellow of the RICS, ICES, or CIOB
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in construction commercial management
  • Experience working on major complex building and MEP works
  • Excellent NEC3 Option C Contract knowledge and experience
  • Experience in managing others and working in large teams
  • Collaborative approach to internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible and 'can-do' attitude in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills at a technical level
