About the Role
The Head of Commercial Management will lead and be responsible for all commercial aspects of the business, reporting directly to the CEO. This is a key role within Egis in the UK, requiring a strong commercial leader to drive excellence in the provision of visibility, insight, and expertise into supply markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic direction and decision-making through the analysis of market trends and supplier relationships.
- Develop and manage positive supplier relationships through open and constructive dialogue.
- Direct and implement clear sourcing strategies for designated portfolios, driving best practice processes and systems in areas of pre-contract management.
- Lead the negotiation of high-value, complex contracts to support delivery of business priorities.
- Provide means of control and compliance through effective policies, procedures, and delegated authority structures.
- Mitigate potential business risk through contractual, commercial, and claims management support.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, and act as a figurehead for the function, promoting commercial excellence in a professional and positive way.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
- Experience of leading large teams and strong leadership in a complex environment.
- Strong supplier engagement and development skills to drive effective contract and supplier relationship management.
- Best practice supply chain management within relevant markets to push benefits delivery (financial and non-financial) within project environments.
- Proven experience of client management and negotiation.
- Previous experience working on large MEP projects and within the M&E sector.
- Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of NEC contracts (all options).
- Demonstratable knowledge and understanding of Construction law and standard forms of contract.
- Knowledge of Engineering and client standards.
- Knowledge and demonstratable understanding of financial management.
