Key Responsibilities- Commercial Strategy Development: Develop and implement commercial strategies for pre and post-tender, ensuring maximum value for Cedar and our clients.
- Contract Management: Take a leading role in transitioning the handover of projects from tender to live, ensuring seamless contract administration and compliance.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage commercial risk on new and existing contracts, ensuring Cedar's interests are protected.
- Financial Control: Oversee financial and commercial control, including the production of profit and loss, cash flow, KPI, CVR, and Cost to Complete statements.
- Client Management: Build strong and collaborative relationships with key clients and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and negotiation.
- Contract Administration: Provide advice on contractual matters, formulate contractual/legal correspondence, and negotiate contract agreements.
- Commercial Forecasting: Work with Sector Managers/Directors to ensure projects exceed commercial targets, and develop accurate Management Information (MI) for senior management.
- Supply Chain Engagement: Liaise with the Procurement team for supply chain engagement and subcontract administration.
- Experience: Previous experience within a Senior QS or Commercial Manager position, with a proven track record of client management, negotiation, and commercial strategy development.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of NEC contracts (all options), Construction law, and standard forms of contract.
- Skills: Demonstrable knowledge of valuation techniques, including elemental cost analysis, and experience of tendering and pre-contract cost analysis.
