About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solicitor to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business on matters relating to healthcare law, specifically mental health law-related queries, medical malpractice claims, inquests, investigations, and training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Legal Advice: Offer expert legal advice to the business on all aspects of healthcare law, including mental health law, medical malpractice, and regulatory matters.
  • Oversee Case Load: Oversee a diverse case load of contentious litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Regulatory Advice: Provide specific regulatory advice to the business in relation to Elysium's regulators, including CQC, HIW, and Ofsted.
  • Policy Development: Draft operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Training and Development: Present training in all aspects of healthcare law to the business, promoting a culture of compliance and best practice.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Be a qualified solicitor/barrister with multiple years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience: Have previous experience in an in-house environment, preferably in a healthcare or regulatory context.
  • Skills: Be tenacious and hardworking, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Culture Fit: Be enthusiastic and keen to learn about and experience new areas, with a desire to understand Elysium Healthcare and work closely with a range of staff across the company.
