Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Service

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Service in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will provide clinical leadership and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to our service users.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in General Adult Psychiatry and experience of working with service users who have complex needs. You will be responsible for managing, appraising, and providing professional supervision to junior medical staff, as well as participating in service and business planning activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to service users.
  • Manage, appraise, and provide professional supervision to junior medical staff.
  • Participate in service and business planning activities.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the development of the service and the wider mental health strategy.
Person Specification
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
  • CCT in Psychiatry or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
