Position Overview:

Affinity Care Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Children's Services Manager to oversee the management and operational excellence of our residential children's services. This role is pivotal in ensuring that we deliver exceptional care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the residential service, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Organize work patterns and facilitate training to enhance care practices within the home.
  • Manage budgets effectively and ensure the financial sustainability of the service.
  • Implement policies and procedures that promote the welfare and safety of children.
  • Conduct regular audits of practice and share best practices among the team.

Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Management qualification (MBA, DMS, NVQ Level 4 Care Management) or equivalent.
  • Registered Manager Status or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in managing residential services for children and young people.
  • Strong background in staff supervision and care planning for looked-after children.
  • Experience in managing social care services or joint services.

  • Competitive salary range of £44,000 - £51,000 with performance-related bonuses.
  • A minimum of 28 days of annual leave, inclusive of bank holidays.

Work Schedule:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM (40 hours per week).
