Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of young people in our care, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Lead and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent care standards.
- Collaborate with our management team to develop and implement policies, procedures, and record-keeping measures that promote best practice.
- Cover various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and sleep-ins, to provide 24/7 care and support.
- Liaise with external parties, such as local authorities, schools, and healthcare professionals, to advocate for and safeguard the welfare of our residents.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and respect, valuing the contributions of all team members and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in children's residential care settings, with a proven track record of leading shifts or teams.
- Demonstrable experience in managing and developing staff, with a focus on continuous improvement and quality care.
- Hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in residential childcare or a related field.
- Be able to commit to full-time working hours, including sleep-ins and occasional residential trips.
- Hold a valid manual driving license.
- Be able to pass stringent pre-employment checks, including Enhanced DBS clearance.
