Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and management to the residential children's service.
- Ensure adherence to Children's Homes Regulations and maintain high-quality care practices.
- Supervise and mentor staff, organizing work schedules and facilitating care-focused training.
- Engage in the planning and evaluation of care services for children and young people.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback from service users and performance metrics.
Salary and Benefits:
The role offers a competitive salary ranging from £44,000 to £51,000, along with a bonus scheme of £11,000 contingent on meeting performance targets.
Additional benefits include:
- A minimum of 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays).

Qualifications Required:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Management qualification (e.g., MBA, NVQ Level 4 in Care Management).
- Registered Manager Status or commitment to achieve required qualifications within three years.
Experience:
- Proven experience in staff supervision and management within a residential setting.
- Experience in care planning for looked-after children.
- Management experience in social care services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and supervision of residential services for children, ensuring that all operations align with legislative and regulatory standards. You will lead a team dedicated to providing high-quality care, contributing to strategic planning, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and children.
This position requires a commitment to enhancing service quality through continuous evaluation and staff development.
