Key Responsibilities:
- Provide effective leadership and management of the residential children's service, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of each child, ensuring their well-being and development.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial sustainability of the service.
- Conduct regular evaluations of service delivery, utilizing feedback from stakeholders to enhance care practices.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all children in care, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Salary and Benefits:
The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £44,000 to £51,000, along with a performance-related bonus scheme. Additional benefits include:
- A minimum of 28 days annual leave, inclusive of public holidays.
- Private healthcare coverage.
- Pension scheme.
- Comprehensive clinical supervision for staff.
- Family-friendly policies, including maternity and paternity leave.
Qualifications:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Management qualification (e.g., MBA, NVQ Level 4 in Care Management).
- Registered Manager Status or willingness to obtain within three years.
Experience:
- Proven experience in staff supervision and management within a residential care setting.
- Experience in care planning and service delivery for looked-after children.
- Knowledge of social care services and regulatory frameworks.
