About the Role

Leeds City College is seeking a highly skilled Maths Teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals.

We are looking for an individual who can teach maths to adults in our community centres, with a focus on delivering high-quality education and achieving excellent outcomes.

The successful candidate will have experience in functional skills and GCSE, as well as the ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, session plans, teaching and learning resources, learning and assessment plans.
  • Deliver and assess essential knowledge and understanding to learners.
  • Motivate and inspire students to achieve targets and develop their skills to enable progression.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Use and promote restorative practice approaches.

About You

We are looking for an individual who holds a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) or is willing to work towards it.

The ideal candidate will have relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching subject, as well as relevant up-to-date subject knowledge and recent delivery in the Further Education or school sector.
