About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Engineer to join our dedicated SecOps team at Atom Bank. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in protecting our customers, brand, people, and reputation from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver the security model for our cloud environment
  • Provide practical advice and guidance on best-in-class security practices
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Project teams to deliver secure solutions
  • Identify security requirements and gaps in our infrastructure, applications, and processes
  • Implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks
  • Develop and participate in architecture reviews, providing a security perspective
  • Lead and develop processes for security operational tasks and tooling
  • Scope, conduct, and assess complex penetration testing
  • Identify security threats and convert them into material impact
  • Provide audit and risk assessment support
  • Manage and assess security risk in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practice
  • Regularly report and present security-related information
  • Acquire and maintain knowledge of threat intelligence, industry trends, and relevant product offerings
  • Ensure the Atom security policy is communicated to and followed by all staff
  • Manage user administration of high-level financial systems
  • Maintain 3rd-party connectivity
Requirements
  • Experience in security for public cloud platforms
  • Strong understanding of data and voice networks
  • Business Continuity knowledge
  • Project management and consulting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confident, assertive, and pragmatic approach with ability to exercise judgment and discretion
  • Highly organized, with ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
