About the Role

The Morson Group is seeking a skilled Track Skills Trainer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring that workers deployed by our company obtain mandatory skills training and certification to complete their work compliantly and safely.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development, with experience in managing warehouse operations and ensuring compliance with company guidelines. You will be responsible for the efficient utilization of equipment provided to maximize quality and productivity within the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stores / Warehouse Aspect of Role:
    • Manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient inventory management.
    • Implement and maintain stock control systems, including inputting data and conducting regular audits.
    • Place orders in a timely manner to avoid disruption to production, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and stock control.
    • Assist with the unloading of deliveries and conduct Goods Inwards inspections to ensure quality and accuracy.
    • Responsible for accurate stock levels, actively participating in the effective management of surplus materials.
    • Actively participate in the day-to-day interface between Purchasing and Production, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
    • Manage COSHH items, ensuring proper secure storage, retention, and access.
    • Operate the forklift truck as required, including for deliveries and to access storage, ensuring the vehicle is checked prior to each use.
    • Ensure good housekeeping in areas responsible for, including the warehouse and stores.
  • Training Aspect of Role:
    • Deliver specific training interventions, ensuring that all learning objectives are fully achieved in an atmosphere conducive to learning.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training delivered in short, medium, and long term, making recommendations for improvement.
    • Ensure training materials are technically and legislatively correct, maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
    • Ensure that the department's course delivery assets are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring security and correct use of all training documentation, evaluation, and licensing materials.
    • Assist the support team in the data inputting and storage of course details, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Ensure all licensing/qualification criteria are maintained to ensure individual's ability to deliver, coaching other members of the delivery team to enable continued human resource development and growth of business capability.
    • Contribute towards the control of the overall budget for the department, managing approved numbers of delegates.
    • Liaise with the Training Administrator to ensure that the appropriate materials and stationery are available, maintaining knowledge and staying up-to-date with the latest work practices and standards.
