About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Performance Simulation Engineer to join our team for a 13-month industrial placement. As a Performance Simulation Engineer, you will work with our experienced engineering professionals and graduates to develop your skills and knowledge in performance simulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake simulations for a broad customer base across different engineering sectors, including off-highway, automotive, and rail.
  • Set up, run, and assist with the development of performance simulations, including drive-cycle simulation, dynamic lap simulation, and co-simulation between various toolsets via Simulink.
  • Support processes for data creation, post-processing, analysis, and ad-hoc requirements.
  • Analyze and summarize simulation output.
  • Presentation, reporting, and discussion of analysis results.
Requirements
  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Aeronautical Engineering (or similar).
  • Strong Matlab skillset and experience of Simulink modeling systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Understanding of electric powertrains and battery systems, familiarity with vehicle dynamics principles, and prior use of a source control system.
