About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Battery Systems Engineer to join our Battery Performance Team at Williams Advanced Engineering. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advancing the performance and safety of our battery systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve battery system performance and safety.
  • Conduct battery testing, data analysis, and simulations to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop battery packs from system-level requirements.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for battery performance improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery cell technology and engage with suppliers to drive innovation.
  • Represent WAE as a technical expert in project delivery and business development.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the organization and externally to drive collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • Engineering qualification (Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM subject) and relevant industry/academic experience.
  • Strong knowledge of battery cell technology and experience in battery pack sizing and performance simulations.
  • Proficiency in battery data analysis using MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage battery systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
