Williams Advanced Engineering is seeking a talented Senior Engineer - Battery Performance to join our Battery Performance Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advancing cell-driven battery system performance and safety. Your expertise will be crucial in generating data, design input, and validation for our battery systems through battery testing, data analysis, modeling, and simulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve battery performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop battery systems.
  • Conduct battery testing and data analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in battery technology and apply this knowledge to improve our systems.

Requirements:
  • An engineering qualification (Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM subject or equivalent) and relevant industry/academic experience.
  • Knowledge of battery cell technology and experience in battery pack sizing and performance simulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Location:
We are based on the Williams technical campus in Grove, Oxfordshire. This role includes travel to customer and test sites as required.
