We're seeking a talented Senior Engineer - Battery Performance to join our Battery Performance Team at an exciting time in our company's expansion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advance cell-driven battery system performance and safety through data analysis, modelling, and simulations.
  • Conceptualize battery packs from system level requirements by cell selection and pack sizing activities.
  • Determine battery performance capabilities, limitations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Track state-of-the-art cell technology and support cell supplier relationships.
  • Represent WAE externally as a technical expert for ongoing project delivery and business development purposes.
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels of WAE and external partnering academic and external organizations.
Requirements:
  • An engineering qualification (Bachelor's or master's degree in a STEM subject or equivalent) and relevant industry/academic experience.
  • Knowledge of battery cell technology.
  • Experience in battery pack sizing and performance simulations.
  • Experience in battery data analysis in MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with HV battery systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work inter and intra departmentally and build working relationships across the business.
