We are currently in search of a Medical Receptionist and Administrative Support to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for individuals eager to embrace a new challenge within a bustling medical practice.
In this full-time role, you will work 37.5 hours per week, which includes one early start at 8:00 AM and one late finish at 6:30 PM weekly. Additionally, flexibility to cover a late shift on Tuesdays every eighth week is required. The position offers a competitive salary of GBP24,799.
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Managing incoming calls and addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
- Providing face-to-face customer service and scheduling patient appointments.
- Handling urgent requests and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Updating internal systems for prescription requests.
- Processing incoming mail and correspondence.
- Coordinating with other healthcare partners regarding referrals and out-of-hours information.
- Participating in meetings and documenting action points.
- Processing laboratory forms and maintaining accurate records.
We welcome candidates from various backgrounds, particularly those with experience in high-volume customer service and administrative roles.
Desired Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in a fast-paced, telephone-based environment with proficiency in IT systems.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly within an NHS or GP practice.
- Availability to meet the required working hours.
