Job Title: Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space, a leading provider of mental health services in the UK.

About the Role:

As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for supervising and delegating tasks to a dedicated team of support workers, ensuring that values-based support is delivered to the highest standards to the people we support.

You will be working with adults with various conditions, including LD, dementia, mental health, and other physical conditions, on a person-centered basis, from following care plans to administering medication and assisting with daily living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to support workers
  • Deliver values-based support to individuals with complex needs
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including medication administration
  • Support individuals with mental health conditions, including crisis management
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a related field
  • Qualifications in Health and Social Care or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of mental health conditions and support strategies
