Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space, a leading provider of mental health services. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred support to adults with mental health conditions, including LD, dementia, and other physical conditions.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and delegating tasks to a dedicated team of support workers to ensure values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Supporting adults with mental health conditions on a person-centred basis, including following care plans, administering medication, and assisting with daily living tasks.
  • Working collaboratively with the team to ensure seamless delivery of support services.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, preferably in a mental health setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of person-centred support principles and values.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of medication administration and care planning.
