About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at Making Space, a leading provider of mental health services. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with complex mental health conditions, providing person-centred care and supervision to a dedicated team of support workers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and delegate tasks to a team of support workers, ensuring values-based support is delivered to the highest standards.
  • Support adults with mental health conditions on a person-centred basis, following care plans and administering medication as required.
  • Assist with daily living tasks and provide emotional support to individuals in crisis.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication with service users and their families.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Support Worker, with a strong understanding of safeguarding and mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and provide emotional support to individuals in crisis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the care team.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centred care and values-based support.
