**This role would suit a Merchandising Administrator, Merchandising Assistant, Graduate or a highly analytical Administrator who is looking to move to a company offering progression**
Our client, a well-established multi-channel retailer offers its customers a wide range of quality lifestyle, fashion and homeware products now has an excellent opportunity for a Merchandising Assistant to join their team - working predominately on the ladieswear category.
They are looking for someone who is passionate about numbers, gaining experience and developing a career in Merchandising who will help our client achieve their growth plans. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to develop skills working with suppliers in the UK & Far East.
Experience of working in a merchandising environment would be preferable.
The role will include a mix of office and home working, however during probation you will be required to be office based.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Raising purchase orders on AX system
- Keying stock to the system
- Checking invoices against purchase orders
- Liaising with the warehouse on stock deliveries and queries
- Actioning reselects/Subs for the Merchandisers
- Moving purchase order dates on the system
- Supporting the department’s Merchandiser
- Liaise with suppliers UK and Far East
- Answer stock queries from the call centre team
- Keying import entries
- Checking of GTINS/ barcodes
- Actioning of Catalogue/Web pre
- launch checks
- General housekeeping/filing as required within the team
**Key requirements**
- Knowledge of Excel.
- Strong communication, numerical and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail and multi tasking.
- Working to deadlines and prioritising work.
- Ability to work in a team as well as working on your own initiative.
