About the Role

XO is a leading private aviation business, operating a large fleet of private jets and providing exceptional service to its clients. We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Group External Reporting Manager to join our finance team based in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and consolidation of the group's financial statements in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of quarterly and annual financial reports.
  • Review and analyze financial statements and disclosures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team and other departments.
  • Research and implement new IFRS standards and amendments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of IFRS and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and update accounting policies and procedures.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors.
  • Help manage the audit process, including planning, coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure timely and efficient completion of the annual audit.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal control processes for financial reporting.
  • Identify and address weaknesses in the financial reporting process.
  • Communicate financial results and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for the board of directors, investors, and other external parties.
  • Respond to queries from regulatory bodies, investors, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant with 3+ years PQE with extensive experience in financial reporting and technical accounting matters.
  • Strong leadership skills with an ability to lead multiple global teams to deliver against tight reporting deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to build processes to facilitate efficient and effective reviews.
