Lead Financial Analyst

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 + benefits package

Our client, a prominent private equity-backed firm, is seeking a highly skilled finance professional to oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, along with the analysis and reporting of critical financial metrics within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Margin Analysis: Conduct thorough reporting on sales performance and profit margins.
  • Variance Investigation: Analyze discrepancies against budgets and provide detailed insights into variances.
  • Financial Support: Collaborate with the commercial team to offer financial guidance for daily operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Capex and Opex Management: Partner with the Chief Technology Officer to ensure accurate recording of internal capital expenditure projects and operational IT costs.
  • Marketing Collaboration: Work alongside the Marketing department to ensure proper recording of expenses in the Profit & Loss statement and accurate posting of accruals or prepayments.
  • Cost Analysis: Assist the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with insights and evaluations on cost movements and changes in working capital.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the FP&A team to support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Month-End Close: Aid in the month-end closing and reporting activities.
  • Team Management: Oversee the transactional finance analyst, ensuring effective performance and development.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with a strong history of commercial insight and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels within a multi-site environment. A proactive mindset, capable of constructively challenging assumptions, along with a passion for detail, is essential.
