Application Support Analyst at Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land

The role of the Application Support Analyst within Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land is essential for maintaining the effective operation of services delivered by the Enterprise and Business Applications team. This position encompasses the support of a variety of both proprietary and external applications, managing incident resolution, addressing issues, and processing service requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist users and external partners by managing and resolving incidents, facilitating problem investigations, and processing service requests.
  • Oversee, sustain, and enhance application services to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Serve as the Service Owner for a selection of application systems, ensuring effective day-to-day management and representation of services.
  • Engage with Business Owners and Users to support their effective utilization of application systems.
  • Act as the escalation point for significant incidents or service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers of supported application services.
  • Assist in release and deployment activities, including upgrades and patches.
  • Manage application licenses effectively.
  • Ensure that data security protocols align with organizational policies, maintaining compliance for Cyber Essentials certification.
  • Represent application services in the Change Advisory Board.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in application support or a related field.
  • Experience in managing application services through third-party providers.
  • Proficiency in supporting SQL, Windows Server, Microsoft Office, and internal web applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with service management tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of ITIL or similar service delivery frameworks.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.
