Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Regional Finance Manager for the UK & Ireland, who will report directly to the Regional Finance Director for Northern, Central & Eastern Europe. This role is pivotal in overseeing daily operations, compliance, and financial reporting for the UK & Ireland regions, while supervising the accounting teams located in various cities.

The successful candidate will manage general accounting teams across multiple entities in the UK & Ireland, focusing on IFRS compliance and company accounts. Responsibilities include the presentation of financial figures and the implementation of the SAP tool.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:
    Prepare, submit, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local standards.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Conduct financial analyses to support business decisions and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    Assist in the annual budget process and contribute to long-term financial planning.
  • Compliance and Control:
    Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Taxation:
    Oversee VAT audits and ensure compliance with taxation laws.
  • Team Management:
    Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance for professional development.
  • Systems and Process Improvement:
    Evaluate and enhance current accounting systems and processes for greater efficiency.
  • Business Relations:
    Maintain direct reporting lines with the Regional Finance Director and collaborate with global finance teams.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in a corporate finance role with proven leadership skills.
  • Qualified accountant with expertise in IFRS and financial consolidation.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and tools, particularly Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work autonomously.
  • Proficient communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in English and French; additional European languages are a plus.
