Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Regional Finance Manager for the UK & Ireland who will report directly to the Regional Finance Director for Northern, Central & Eastern Europe. This role is essential for overseeing daily operations, compliance, and financial reporting across the UK & Ireland regions, while supervising the accounting teams located in various cities.

The successful candidate will manage general accounting functions across multiple entities, ensuring adherence to IFRS standards and the preparation of accurate financial statements. This position will also involve the implementation of financial tools and systems to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with both IFRS and local standards.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support strategic business decisions and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budgeting process and contribute to long-term financial planning.
  • Compliance and Control: Ensure adherence to local financial regulations and implement robust internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Taxation: Oversee the preparation and supervision of tax filings and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development and ensuring effective task allocation.
  • Systems Improvement: Evaluate and enhance current accounting systems and processes, driving automation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in a finance role with proven leadership skills.
  • Qualified accountant with expertise in IFRS and financial consolidation.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
