Regional Finance Manager UK

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Finance Manager to join our team at Somfy. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, compliance, and reporting of our UK & Ireland regions.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with group calendar to IFRS group and local standards for the UK & Ireland entities.
- Reporting and Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP, coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and statutory accounts preparation, and resolve all audit issues.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, identify cost-saving opportunities, and prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the annual budget process for the UK & Ireland, contribute to budget variances, and provide analysis to the controlling finance teams.
- Compliance and Control: Ensure compliance with all local financial regulations and tax requirements, implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity, and oversee VAT, PAYE, and other tax filings.
- Taxation: Prepare and/or supervise VAT audits and tax declarations, and ensure compliance with the law and taxation within the entities.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor the accounting team, provide guidance and support for professional development, allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively within the team, and conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Systems and Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting systems and processes, recommend and implement improvements, ensure effective utilization of financial software and tools, drive automation and efficiency initiatives within the finance department, and work closely with the accounting team and finance teams to implement the SAP tool.
- 7-10 years of experience in a corporate or group finance role, with proven leadership capabilities.
- Qualified accountant with deep expertise in IFRS, accounting, and financial consolidation.
- Solid knowledge of financial systems, particularly Hyperion and HFM (Onestream experience is an advantage).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SAP is a strong asset.
- Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accuracy and integrity of financial information.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and reliably.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Proactive and hands-on approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and with all stakeholders.
- Business fluency in English and French; additional European languages are considered a strong asset.
