Key Stage 1 Educational Support Assistant

Location: Primary School in Preston

Position: Full-Time Key Stage 1 Educational Support Assistant

Hours: 8:45 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour

Role Overview:

In the role of Key Stage 1 Educational Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in enhancing the academic and personal growth of children aged 5-7. Collaborating closely with classroom educators, you will aid in delivering engaging educational experiences, providing tailored support to individual students, and ensuring a conducive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom educators in implementing lessons aligned with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Offer individualized and small group assistance to students, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and other subjects.
  • Help prepare educational materials and resources for classroom activities.
  • Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting support to meet diverse needs.
  • Encourage a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Supervise and engage with children during recreational periods and other activities.
  • Work collaboratively with educators and staff to promote the well-being and academic success of all students.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children, preferably in an educational context.
  • Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting children's development.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in education, teaching assistance, or child development are advantageous.
