Graduate Estates Surveyor

Due to the growth of our client base, KGen is looking to recruit a Graduate Estates Surveyor to assist in managing diverse property portfolios.

The majority of our clients are situated in the South West region, with additional office locations in other areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the daily management of client property portfolios
  • Ensure a cost-effective and sustainable corporate estate that maximizes asset value
  • Procure all services and supplies in line with established guidelines and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with team members to foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Participate in meetings as required
  • Promote the services of the assets positively to stakeholders and partners
  • Manage lease renewals, rent assessments, new lettings, lease transfers, and other estate management tasks, including service charge budget management
  • Maintain up-to-date property databases for the entire portfolio
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling all aspects of estate management in alignment with the Asset Strategy and corporate objectives

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • A degree in surveying or a related field
  • Engagement in the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) process, or a willingness to do so, to achieve membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors

Essential Experience

  • Commitment to RICS Professional Standards and Best Practices, including the Red Book
  • Understanding of property law, landlord-tenant relations, and the relevant regulatory framework
  • Familiarity with standard financial practices and terminology
