Fostering Recruitment Specialist - Permanent

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (flexible approach to working outside core hours including some evenings and weekends as required)

Location:
Homebased, supporting our East Midlands and Yorkshire regions

Salary:
£24,000 - £27,000 plus company car/car allowance

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Recruitment Specialist to support our Fostering teams in the identification and selection of dedicated and high-quality foster parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Play a vital role in the recruitment of committed foster parents.
  • Conduct visits to the residences of potential foster parents within the community and through online platforms, offering guidance and evaluating their suitability for formal assessment.
  • Compose comprehensive and detailed reports.
  • Monitor the progress of prospective foster parents throughout the recruitment and assessment journey.
  • Assist in organizing recruitment events and community outreach activities.
  • Coordinate with central Fostering teams to ensure that prospective applicants participate in necessary training.
  • Manage records and maintain database accuracy.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with applicants both in person and online.
  • A willingness to travel extensively across the East Midlands and Yorkshire.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft applications.
  • Experience in fostering recruitment is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • A valid driving license.

All successful candidates will be required to undergo a standard DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Community.
