Job Summary:
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Specialist to join their team. As a key member of the central procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities within nominated categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and agree category procurement strategies with key stakeholders to drive business value and improve procurement processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including business partners and external suppliers, to ensure seamless procurement operations.
- Procurement Operations: Manage stakeholder requisitions and purchase orders within the IFS system, ensuring timely and efficient procurement processes.
- Category Management: Take ownership of procurement activities within nominated categories, driving continuous improvement and best practice.
- Supplier Management: Challenge internal requirements and external suppliers to deliver the best value solutions, negotiating contractual terms and prices as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to the delivery of the Central Procurement team's purpose, working to increase the involvement and influence of Central Procurement in Group Indirect spend.
Requirements:
- Procurement Experience: Previous experience in an indirect procurement role, with a proven track record of procurement skills, techniques, and best practice.
- Leadership and Problem-Solving: Demonstrable examples of leadership and problem-solving, with the ability to assess and work with fluctuating priorities.
- Category Expertise: Ideally, experience with facilities management as a category, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
