Mental Health Support Team - Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our Mental Health Support Team as a Trainee Educational Mental Health Practitioner. The successful candidate will work therapeutically with children and young people in education settings, providing emotional health and wellbeing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic support to children, young people, and their parent-carers
  • Work in partnership with education settings to deliver mental health support
  • Attend a university program to qualify as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner
  • Deliver mental health support across a range of educational settings

Requirements:

  • Direct experience of supporting children and young people
  • Interest in learning about evidence-based therapies in child mental health
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
