About the Role

We are looking for a committed Early Years and Education Evaluator who is passionate about supporting and inspiring young learners as they transition into the workforce, particularly in the fields of Primary Education and Early Years. The successful candidate should demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for student development, possess the capability to work independently, and foster positive and professional relationships with our industry partners.

This position requires close collaboration with the Early Years and Education team to assist students in achieving their workplace assessments and qualifications. The role primarily involves off-site work, necessitating regular travel to various locations. During these visits, you will conduct thorough student evaluations and document your findings meticulously, highlighting the importance of strong written communication skills.

The Early Years and Education Department is located within a modern campus, featuring advanced facilities for childcare training, sensory resources, technology labs, and more. While this role emphasizes independence, you will be part of a close-knit team of assessors, participating in regular meetings and receiving ongoing support from the Lead Assessor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess a diverse cohort of Early Years and Education students against national standards during their work placements.
  • Manage a caseload of students, evaluating their performance against established competencies.
  • Develop personalized action plans for individual students to prepare them for assessments and address any areas for improvement.
  • Ensure timely completion of placement assessments to facilitate students in obtaining their Early Year Practitioner or Assisting Teaching Practitioner credentials.
  • Maintain precise assessment records supported by various forms of evidence, subject to moderation by the relevant awarding body.
  • Effectively manage appointments, schedules, and student caseloads.
