We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) to join our team, focusing on the care of adults in Substance Misuse Recovery.

Are you passionate, driven, and ready to take on a rewarding challenge? Do you possess strong communication abilities and a positive mindset, along with a commitment to delivering exceptional care to individuals facing diverse mental health and emotional challenges in their recovery journey?

Our ward is a nurse-led environment specializing in Substance Misuse Recovery, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement, particularly in physical health management and medication administration for detoxification and stabilization of clients.

As a nurse in our team, you will play a vital role within a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, ensuring that the clinical, environmental, social, and healthcare needs of our service users are met. You will work collaboratively and therapeutically with individuals, empowering and supporting them in their journey towards a fulfilling life.

You will have the chance to closely collaborate with our multidisciplinary team members, local partnerships, and both voluntary and statutory services, as well as families.

All nursing staff are expected to participate in a variety of shifts, including Days, Nights, and Weekends.

We look forward to your interest and are open to discussions regarding the role or visits to the ward prior to application.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in multi-disciplinary ward rounds.
  • Establishing trusting therapeutic relationships with service users.
  • Conducting comprehensive, person-centered nursing assessments.
  • Developing care plans in collaboration with service users to ensure optimal nursing care.
  • Performing risk assessments and formulating risk management strategies for individual clients.
  • Supporting the provision of a conducive learning environment for pre- and post-registered students, novice practitioners, and new team members as directed.

It is essential to maintain and enhance your professional knowledge, skills, and expertise to ensure that your practice reflects best practices, remains evidence-based, and is responsive to the evolving needs of patients and NHS services.

Our team is committed to the ongoing professional development of all staff, with a supportive training and supervision program in place. We will assist you in accessing training, learning, and development opportunities to enhance your knowledge, abilities, and skills.
