Job Description

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in Perth, is seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to lead their HSE strategy and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive HSE strategy, ensuring a 'Safety First' culture across the organization.
  2. Design and deliver HSE training programs, ensuring all employees understand and adhere to HSE standards.
  3. Establish and monitor HSE standards, reducing the corporate carbon footprint and ensuring impeccable HSE standards throughout operations.
  4. Monitor H&S compliance, focusing on manufacturing, production, and warehouse facilities.
  5. Ensure a safe working environment, free from risk to health.
  6. Ensure statutory obligations are met, including training and reporting.
  7. Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and fire drills, ensuring accurate records and reporting.
  8. Manage H&S policies, systems, and procedures, maintaining accurate records and training.
  9. Coordinate H&S inspections, audits, and checks, establishing a structured program.
  10. Develop and deliver HSE training, liaising with third-party providers as needed.
  11. Provide regular reports to the Head of Quality & Compliance, Head of People & Development, and Board of Directors/Leadership Team on H&S activities.
Requirements
  1. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  2. Attention to detail and ability to positively influence others on H&S and Environmental matters.
  3. Experience working collaboratively with key stakeholders and managing policy.
  4. Ability to cope well under pressure and lead a team.
