We are seeking an experienced Environmental Systems Manager to join our team at Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks. As a key member of our Transmission team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 14001:2015 standards.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining the EMS, including management standards, risk standards, environmental procedures, and internal consents.
  2. Leading the annual EMS management review, ensuring necessary performance data, system analysis, and compliance reporting is effectively collated and presented to senior business managers.
  3. Developing and managing effective environmental performance metrics, ensuring targets are monitored and reported on effectively.
  4. Maintaining business certification to ISO 14001:2015, preparing for and managing certification gap analysis, surveillance, and re-assessment visits.
  5. Developing, coordinating, and managing an effective, risk-based annual EMS and project portfolio assurance and audit programme.

To be considered for this role, you will have a degree in Environmental Management or a related field, previous experience in the application of EMS and ISO 14001:2015 in a complex project environment, and experience of external Management System certification and auditing.
