Job Title: Health and Safety Manager Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to assist our Health and Safety Manager at CV Library. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of our health and safety management systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Clothing and Equipment: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining clothing and equipment to ensure they comply with company policies and industry standards.
  • Compliance: You will need to stay up-to-date with changing regulations and ensure that our facilities meet the necessary health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Inspections and Audits: Regular inspections and audits will be carried out to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents and environmental incidents.
  • H&S Management: Collaboration with the H&S Manager is essential in developing and implementing effective health and safety management systems.
  • Teamwork: Strong working relationships with various departments will be established to integrate H&S considerations into operational procedures and project planning.
  • Incident Reporting: Accurate and timely reporting of incidents and near misses is crucial to preventing future occurrences.
  • Training and Development: The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying training needs and delivering relevant training to employees.
  • Communication: Effective communication with the Health and Safety Manager and other stakeholders is vital.
  • Environmental Awareness: A good understanding of environmental issues within the construction industry and a commitment to reducing our environmental impact are essential.

Requirements:

  • Mentorship: Mentorship from the Health and Safety Manager for 1-2 days a week is necessary.
  • Certification: NVQ Level 3 NEBOSH certification, normally requiring 18 months to complete, is desirable.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, based on experience, offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
