">About the Role
">We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Inspector to join our team in this challenging role. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation of industrial control systems and preventing major hazards in the UK's oil refineries, chemical production facilities, and other high-risk industries.
">Key Responsibilities

- Technical Inspection Reports: Produce thorough reports identifying risk gaps and non-compliance with laws and regulations.">
- Enforcement Action: Take suitable action to address significant risk gaps on operators' sites.">
- Forensic Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of electrical or control systems elements of accidents to identify root causes and lead technical investigations as needed.">
- Expert Opinion: Provide expert opinion on the management of industrial control systems and work as a specialist investigator or expert witness at tribunals and legal proceedings.">
- Safety Report Assessment: Evaluate Safety Reports submitted by organizations to ensure effective risk management and identify priority areas for inspection.">
- Collaboration: Liaise with government departments, industry professionals, and trade associations to secure intelligence, share information, and contribute to policy development on functional safety, electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres, and cyber security.">
Specialist Training Programme (STP)
">Newly appointed specialists undergo a 2-year Specialist Training Programme comprising in-depth legal training, assessments, and any necessary technical training.
">Development Package: HSE provides a comprehensive development package to equip the successful candidate with the skills and knowledge to assess cyber security topics in line with Operational Guidance (OG86) and relevant standards.
">Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications.
