**About the Role:**
The HSE Health and Safety Executive is seeking an experienced Electrical Control Specialist to join their team. This exciting opportunity will allow the successful candidate to utilize their expertise in Electrical, Control, and Cyber Security to secure the future safety of the public and people in various industries.
As an Electrical Control Specialist, you will have the opportunity to develop both your legal and technical skills, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of functional safety, electrical equipment in explosive atmospheres, and cyber security for Industrial Automation and Control Systems (IACS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Addressing major accident hazards related to Electrical, Control, and Cyber Security at onshore major hazard installations.
- Producing technical inspection reports that identify risk gaps and failures to comply with the law.
- Taking suitable enforcement action to address significant risk gaps on operators' sites.
- Conducting forensic analysis of electrical or control systems elements of accidents in major hazard industries.
- Providing expert opinion on the management of industrial control systems.
- Liaising with government departments, industry, professional bodies, and trade associations to secure intelligence and share information.
