Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Health and Safety Advisor at CV Library. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety of our employees, clients, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  1. Clothing and Equipment: The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining clothing and equipment to ensure they comply with company policies and industry standards.
  2. Regulatory Compliance: You will need to stay up-to-date with changing regulations and ensure that our facilities meet the necessary health, safety, and environmental standards.
  3. Inspections and Audits: Regular inspections and audits will be carried out to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to prevent accidents and environmental incidents.
  4. H&S Management: You will work closely with the H&S Manager to develop and implement effective health and safety management systems.
  5. Teamwork: Collaboration with other departments will be essential to ensure that health and safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of our operations.
  6. Reporting: Accurate and timely reporting of incidents and near misses will be crucial to preventing future occurrences.
  7. Training and Development: The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying training needs and delivering relevant training to employees.
  8. Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential for effective liaison with the Health and Safety Manager and other stakeholders.
  9. Environmental Awareness: A good understanding of environmental issues within the construction industry and a commitment to reducing our environmental impact are essential.

Requirements:

  • Mentorship: Mentoring from the Health and Safety Manager for 1-2 days a week is necessary.
  • Certification: NVQ Level 3 NEBOSH certification, normally requiring 18 months to complete, is preferred.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, based on experience, provides a competitive salary and benefits package.
