Lead Nuclear Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Nuclear Mechanical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) team and broader Support Engineering teams.
- Validate the technical precision of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) outputs, particularly in relation to nuclear operations.
- Conduct reviews of Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LORA), MTA, and Maintenance Task Instruction (MTI) deliverables, focusing on identifying nuclear safety and containment interfaces.
- Determine specific operational conditions necessary for task execution.
- Assess the specialized skills required from the base organization to complete tasks effectively.
- Support the identification of equipment requirements and their applicability.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to the ILS team.
- Facilitate collaboration with industry partners for tailored tasking solutions.
Essential:
- Proven experience in the nuclear sector within a mechanical engineering capacity.
- Background as a Maintenance Engineer or in submarine engineering.
- Previous roles as a maintainer, operator, or submariner.
- Cat B certification.
- Experience in a Shutdown Supervisor position.

About the Nuclear Support Engineering Team:
This team is tasked with ensuring the technical integrity of all ILS outputs from a nuclear perspective. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders, the team supports significant programs and future projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity for career advancement within BAE Systems Canada, with various exciting initiatives on the horizon. Relocation support packages are available for eligible submarine roles.
